Telescopes at the Park for International Observe the Moon Night

Observe the Moon Night is a time to come together with fellow Moon enthusiasts and curious people worldwide. Everyone on Earth is invited to learn about lunar science and exploration, take part in celestial observations, and honor cultural and personal connections to the Moon. Leading this drop-in observation time is our resident SSF Parks and Recreation Instructor and amateur astronomer of 20 years, Josh Roberts. Josh has an academic background in physics and astronomy and is passionate about astronomy outreach. He has been responsible for content creation and outreach at the California Academy of Sciences and NASA's Ames Research Center and been a part of several Bay Area and national astronomy programs and groups.

  • Program start time: 7:00 p.m.
  • Program end time: 9:45 p.m.

  • Admission: Free *registration encouraged*

This is an outdoor program, so please dress appropriately for the weather.  November evenings can be chilly, so we recommend bringing layers, jackets, and anything else to keep you warm and comfortable. Enjoy the night sky!
