105.5.27 Industrial Ovens

Specific Responsibilities for Industrial Ovens:

• Safety Controls: You must maintain all safety controls for the oven, including temperature controllers, ventilation interlocks, and emergency fuel shutoffs, in perfect working order. Do not bypass or disable any safety device.
• Ventilation: The oven's ventilation system must be kept clear of obstructions and be fully operational during use to safely remove any flammable vapors or combustible byproducts.
• Operator Training: Ensure all oven operators are thoroughly trained on the specific operating procedures, safety controls, and emergency shutdown sequence for the unit.
• Clearances: Maintain the required clearance between the oven and all combustible materials as specified by the manufacturer and the approved installation plans.
