105.5.42 Plant Extraction Systems

Specific Responsibilities for Plant Extraction:

• Maintain Equipment: The extraction equipment, including all vessels, piping, and fittings, must be maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and technical report.
• Safety Systems: You must maintain all required gas detection, emergency power, ventilation, and fire suppression systems in a fully operational state.
• Solvent Management: Do not use or store solvents in excess of your permitted quantities. Ensure all flammable and combustible liquids are stored in an approved manner.
• Post-Processing: If conducting post-processing heating or vacuum operations, ensure they are performed in a manner that does not create an ignition hazard, such as within a ventilated hood.
• Training: All operators must be continuously trained on the standard operating procedures and emergency protocols for the equipment.
