SSF Civic Ballet "The Nutcracker"

Join the South San Francisco Parks and Recreation's SSF Civic Ballet program for an enchanting holiday performance of a timeless classic, The Nutcracker. This year will feature three performances on Saturday, December 20 at 1:00 PM & 7:00PM and Sunday, December 21 at 1:00 PM at the South San Francisco High School Theater. Experience a dazzling performance where dancers take you through the magical land of Clara's dream. 

This festive favorite is the perfect way to celebrate the holiday season with family and friends. Witness the beauty of graceful choreography, stunning costumes, and a story that has captured hearts for generations. This is the perfect way to support our program and the dancers who are ready to show you a wonderful show.

Proceeds benefit the South San Francisco Civic Ballet program.

Box office opens: 60 minutes before each performance. Tickets will be available for purchase. Please have your tickets and QR codes ready to go at the entrance.

Tickets are available for purchase online through Friday, December 19, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. at https://www.eventeny.com/events/thenutcracker-24811/.

Box office opens: 60 minutes before each performance. Tickets will be available for purchase. Please have your tickets and QR codes ready to go at the entrance.

Seating: on a first-come, first-serve basis. To ensure everyone can enjoy the performance, we encourage guests to fill in seating.

Adult (18Y & Up): $11

Youth (3Y-17Y): $9

Seniors (62Y & up): $9

Children under 2Y: free

 

 

Parking

Due to projected rain, we have a plan in place to queue guests in an overhead sheltered area for everyone’s safety and comfort.

Location: South San Francisco High School Auditorium is located at 400 B Street in South San Francisco.

Parking: Free parking available in the high school lot — enter from El Camino Real or B Street.

Auditorium Doors Open: Doors will open 30 minutes prior to each performance to allow time for seating and ticket scanning. Please arrive early, as lines are expected.

Performances

1. How long is the performance?

The performance is approximately 2 to 2.5-hours. Each show will include two intermissions and a pause.

2.  What time will the theater doors open?

The theater doors will open approximately 30-minutes before showtime.  

3. Is the auditorium wheelchair accessible? Is there accessible seating?

Yes, the auditorium has accessible seating and may enter from the entrances of the theater. For additional assistance on accommodation, please contact Veronica Ortiz at (650) 829-3806.

 

Concessions

1. Are we allowed to bring drinks and food in the auditorium?

Drinks and food are not permitted in the auditorium.

2. Will there be snacks for sale?

Drinks and snacks will be located in the main lobby area. Proceeds will go towards the South San Francisco Ballet program.

3. What form of payment will be accepted at the concessions?

While we prefer small bills in cash, we will accept credit cards.

4. Will there be drawing opportunities?

Yes. Approximately three baskets will be drawn at each show. Drawing opportunity ticket purchases can be made before and during the first intermission. The winners will be announced during the second intermission. Proceeds benefit the South San Francisco Civic Ballet Program.
