Thanksgiving 5K Fun Run

The 52nd annual South San Francisco Thanksgiving 5K Fun Run will take place on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at the Oyster Point Marina & Bay Trail. The run will begin at 9:00 a.m.

The Fun Run is a great opportunity for community members of all ages to stay active. Whether you are looking for some challenging competition, an excuse for an enjoyable family stroll along the beautiful Bay Trail, or a route convenient to your location, this race is for you! All runner and walkers of all ages are welcome. No dogs, scooters, bikes or skates please. 

Participants will be awarded prizes for top finishers in each age group.  All participants who registered are entered into an opportunity drawing for prizes. Winners are pre-drawn and will be notified by email to pick up their prize at the conclusion of the race.

Registration opens on Monday, September 1. New this year, this event requires pre-registration by November 15, 2025. There will be no race day registration. To register, visit our Recreation Catalog and click "Special Events," at www.ssf.net/rec-catalog. 

Once registered you can pick up your bib and shirt if you purchased one at the Recreation Administrative Office on the 3rd floor at the Library| Parks & Recreation Center on November 21 and 22 from 8 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. They will also be available for pick up starting at 8 a.m. on race day.  All registered participants will receive an email after the 15th with race details. Children 5 and under do not need a bib. Only children who are walking or running on their own get a bib.
