November 4, 2025 Special Election
Election and Voter Information
The 2025 California Special Election will be held on November 4, 2025. Polls shall be open throughout the state from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Vote Centers and Drop-Boxes will close at 8 p.m. (If you are in line before 8 p.m., you can still vote.)

There will be no local or countywide measures on the November ballot.

The last day to register to vote in this election is October 20, 2025.
- Vote-by-Mail Ballots: All active registered California voters will automatically receive a vote-by-mail ballot.
- Mailing of Ballots: County elections offices will begin mailing ballots on October 6, 2025.
- Ballot Drop-off Locations: Open starting October 7, 2025.
- Returning Your Ballot: Vote-by-mail ballots may be returned by mail, at any official drop-off location, or directly to your county elections office.
- Vote Centers: Vote centers open for early in-person voting starting October 25, 2025.
- Ballot Deadline: Vote-by-mail ballots must be postmarked on or before Election Day (November 4, 2025) and received by November 12, 2025.
