105.5.5 Carnivals and Fairs

Specific Responsibilities for Carnivals and Fairs:

• Maintain Site Layout: You must maintain the approved site layout, ensuring that fire lanes and access for emergency vehicles are kept clear of all obstructions, including visitor vehicles and equipment.
• Egress Paths: All public aisles and pathways to exits must be maintained and kept clear.
• Flame Resistance: Ensure all tents, canopies, and combustible decorative materials have been treated with a flame retardant. Certificates must be available on-site for inspection.
• Control Ignition Sources: Strictly control all open flames, cooking operations, and temporary heating devices. Cooking booths must be separated from other attractions.
• Electrical Safety: Regularly inspect temporary wiring to ensure it is in good condition, protected from damage, and not creating tripping hazards.
