Located at the intersection of El Camino Real and Chestnut Avenue, the Library | Parks & Recreation Center sits within the City’s Civic Campus and is accessible by car, transit, bike, and foot.

 

Driving Directions

From US-101 (North or South):
  • Exit toward I-380 / El Camino Real
  • Continue on El Camino Real
  • Turn onto Chestnut Avenue → Civic Campus Way
From I-280:
  • Take I-380 East
  • Exit at El Camino Real
  • Follow signs to Civic Campus Way

Parking

  • Free, 4-hour parking is available at the Library | Parks & Recreation Center, with reserved spots for handicap vehicles, energy efficient vehicles, short term parking, and six electric vehicle chargers

  • There is also a small parking garage with additional handicap parking spots under the building

Overflow Parking: Municipal Services Building (MSB)
  • Additional parking is available at the Municipal Services Building (33 Arroyo Drive), directly across El Camino Real
  • This location is used regularly during peak hours, large programs, and events
  • Signalized crosswalks on El Camino Real provide pedestrian access between MSB and the Civic Campus
Important:
  • No overnight parking
  • Do not use Safeway or Pacific Market for overflow parking
  • 3–5 minute walk from Municipal Services Building to the Library | Parks & Recreation Center entrance

Free Shuttle (South City Shuttle)
  • Free weekday shuttle service operated by the City
  • Stops along El Camino Real near the Civic Campus

    • South San Francisco BART
    • San Bruno BART
