Between Two Worlds: Jewish American Heritage Celebration

Next date: Saturday, May 30, 2026 | 10:30 AM to 01:00 PM

Celebrate Jewish‑American Heritage Month with a full day of engaging programs at the library that highlight Jewish culture, creativity, and community traditions through stories, art, and movement. All events are free, in person, and open to all ages.

The day begins with a family‑friendly Jewish‑American Heritage Storytime in the Youth Library, featuring picture books and songs that explore Jewish traditions, culture, and identity. Later in the morning, patrons of all ages are invited to drop in to the Makerspace for Jewish Papercutting, a hands‑on art activity inspired by Eastern European Jewish folk art—no experience required and all materials provided. The celebration concludes with a lively Yiddish Dance Workshop, where participants will learn traditional Yemenite, Hasidic, klezmer, and folk dances in an inclusive, welcoming environment.

Come celebrate, learn, and connect with your community—all ages welcome.
