National Night Out in South San Francisco

National Night Out is the perfect opportunity to make those connections. 

Join us on Tuesday, August 4, as neighborhoods throughout South San Francisco open their doors for an evening of community, conversation, and fun. Whether you've lived here for decades or just moved in, National Night Out is your chance to meet your neighbors, connect with local police officers, firefighters, City staff, and community organizations, and enjoy family-friendly activities close to home. 

From block parties and neighborhood gatherings to getting to know our various departments that serve the City, each location offers something a little different, but they all share the same goal: bringing people together. 

When neighbors know each other, communities become stronger, more connected, and better prepared to look out for one another. National Night Out is celebrated across the country each year to strengthen neighborhood spirit and foster positive relationships between residents and public safety partners.

Each location will feature its own activities, refreshments, and opportunities to meet members of the South San Francisco Police Department, South San Francisco Fire Department, City staff, and community partners.
