105.5.2 Aerosol Products, Aerosol Cooking Spray Products and Plastic A

Specific Responsibilities for Aerosol Products:

  • Maintain Quantity Limits: You are responsible for ensuring that the quantity of aerosol products stored or displayed does not exceed the limits specified in your permit and the approved plans.
  • Proper Storage: Store aerosols in approved areas, such as flammable liquid storage cabinets or dedicated storage rooms, as specified in your permit. Do not store aerosols near exits or in a way that impedes egress.
  • Sprinkler System Compliance: Your sprinkler system was designed for a specific aerosol classification and storage arrangement. You must not change the type of aerosol or the storage configuration (e.g., height, palletizing) without prior approval, as this could render the sprinkler system ineffective.
  • Segregation: Ensure that Level 2 and 3 aerosol products are separated from other combustible materials and stored in accordance with the segregation requirements of CFC Chapter 51.
