105.5.23 HPM Facilities

Specific Responsibilities for HPM Facilities:

• Maintain Safety Systems: You must maintain all specialized HPM life safety and fire protection systems, including gas detection, automatic shutdowns, ventilation, and fire suppression systems, in a fully operative state.
• Emergency Control Station: The emergency control station must be maintained with all controls and monitoring equipment fully functional.
• Emergency Plan: The facility's emergency plan must be reviewed regularly, and all personnel, including the on-site emergency response team, must receive ongoing training.
• Inventory Control: Maintain a precise inventory of all HPM. Quantities must not exceed the limits for each HPM room or area as specified in the approved plans.
• Workstation Integrity: Do not modify HPM workstations or delivery systems without prior review and approval. Ensure all safety features, like exhaust and fire protection, remain intact.
