105.5.30 LP-Gas

Specific Responsibilities for LP-Gas:

  • Secure Containers: All LP-Gas cylinders and tanks must be secured in an upright position to prevent falling.
  • Protection from Impact: If containers are subject to vehicle impact, you must maintain the required bollards or other protective barriers in good condition.
  • Control Ignition Sources: You must prohibit smoking and other ignition sources within the required distance of LP-Gas containers and dispensing operations.
  • Maintain Equipment: Regularly inspect containers, valves, and hoses for leaks or physical damage. Do not use any damaged equipment.
  • Maintain Signage: Ensure that all required signage, such as "Propane - No Smoking" and NFPA 704 placards, is maintained and clearly visible.
