105.5.44 Pyrotechnic Special Effects Material

Specific Responsibilities for Pyrotechnics:

• Licensed Pyrotechnic Operator: All pyrotechnic special effects must be handled and fired by a State Fire Marshal licensed Pyrotechnic Operator.
• Pre-Show Demonstration: The operator must provide a demonstration of the effects to the Fire Marshal prior to the public performance.
• Maintain Separation: You must maintain the approved separation distances between the pyrotechnic devices and the audience, performers, and any combustible materials.
• Fire Watch: Provide a fire watch with approved fire extinguishers during the performance and for a period of time after as determined by the Fire Marshal.
• Secure Storage: All pyrotechnic materials must be kept in a secured, locked container and location when not in immediate use.
