Wreath Making Workshop

Celebrate the season with creativity at our annual Holiday Wreath Workshop on Saturday, December 12! Create your own fresh holiday wreath while enjoying a festive atmosphere with family, friends, and fellow community members.

Our experienced Parks and Recreation staff will provide the materials and guidance you need to create a beautiful wreath, including fresh greenery, berries, pinecones, ribbon, and more. Participants are also welcome to bring their own ornaments or decorative accents to personalize their creation.

Best of all, your participation supports a great cause! Proceeds from the workshop benefit the Improving Public Places group and its efforts to beautify public spaces throughout South San Francisco.

Workshop Highlights

• Basic wreath-making materials provided, including a wreath ring, florist wire, fresh greenery, and decorative accents
• Step-by-step instruction and assistance
• Hot spiced cider and holiday music
• Participants are encouraged to bring their own work gloves and pruning shears
• Bring your own ornaments or accents for an extra personal touch

Choose Your Session

Morning Session | 9:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
A family-friendly session open to all ages. Families may work together on one wreath or register additional participants to create multiple wreaths.

Afternoon Session | 1:00–3:30 p.m.
An adults-only session featuring wine to enjoy while creating your holiday wreath.

Advance Registration: $30 residents / $35.75 non-residents
Day-of Registration: $35 residents / $40 non-residents, space permitting

Take-Home Wreath Kits

Prefer to create your wreath at home? Take-home wreath kits will also be available for experienced DIY wreath makers. Pick up a kit for yourself or purchase several and host your own wreath-making gathering with family and friends!

Participants who purchase a kit will visit the Fernekes Building outdoor patio to select and fill a bag with fresh greenery. Each kit includes one large bag of greenery, one wreath ring, one paddle of florist wire, and one pre-made bow.
