Report a Crime Online
Welcome to the City of South San Francisco Online Reporting System!
Before beginning your online report, please confirm the following:
- This is not an emergency. If this is an emergency, please call 9-1-1.
- The incident occurred in the City of South San Francisco. If the incident you are reporting occurred in another jurisdiction, please contact the appropriate department. If the incident occurred on the freeway, please contact the California Highway Patrol at (800) 835-5247. If the incident occurred on Caltrain or SamTrans, please contact the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office at (650) 363-4000.
- You do not have any suspect information nor video surveillance. If you do have suspect information, please contact the South San Francisco Police Department at (650) 877-8900 to speak directly to an officer.
Bicycle Incident
Traffic issues related to bicycle safety, including violations of the "3 feet rule" (law requiring motor vehicles to maintain a minimum of 3 feet of clearance when passing a bicyclist).

Harassing Phone Calls
Unwanted phone calls of annoying, harassing, or threatening nature.

Hit and Run
Non-injury hit and run traffic collision (with no suspect information or surveillance footage)

Lost Property
Property that is missing or lost (not stolen). This includes passports and personal documents.

Theft
Property is taken without owner's permission. This includes thefts from UNLOCKED vehicles.
Thefts involving firearms or materials that threaten public safety (i.e. explosives or highly toxic substances) must be reported directly to an officer and not online. Theft via fraud, scam, or identity theft must be reported directly to an officer and not online.

Vandalism
The act of defacing, damaging, or modifying of public or private property. Gang graffiti or vandalism suspected of a Hate Crime (crime based on a bias against the victim's race, color, religion, national origin, sex, disability, or actual or perceived sexual orientation) must be reported to an officer and not online.

Vehicle Burglary
Forced entry into a locked vehicle.

Vehicle Vandalism
