Many contemporary Asian and Asian American artists reach into the past, creating works that reimagine traditional subjects or techniques in new and unexpected contexts or combinations.Whether these traditions merge or collide, the process often yields unusual and thought-provoking works of extraordinary beauty and skill.

The Asian Art Museum Docent Program is generously supported by the Dhanam Foundation and Society for Asian Art. This program is made possible by the South San Francisco Friends of the Library. There will be no in-person option this month. Please register and watch from home.
