El Camino Real Mobility Plan - Give your input on the design options and help create a safe street for all!

Thank you to all who shared input on the El Camino Real Mobility Plan in Fall 2025. The input we heard emphasized the need for:

• Safer and more comfortable walking and bicycling conditions.
• Less delay while driving on El Camino Real.
• Maintaining on-street parking near businesses.
• More trees, plants, art, and shade along the corridor.

The project team incorporated your feedback into three design options, or “concept alternatives.” Each option has different tradeoffs. We want to hear from you about which options you like!

The goal of the El Camino Real Mobility Plan is to design a safer, more comfortable, and more enjoyable experience for people using all modes of transportation on El Camino Real, whether walking, bicycling, driving, or taking the bus. Once completed, this City-led project will fold into the countywide Grand Boulevard Initiative led by SamTrans.
