This winter could bring some of the most powerful storms California has seen in years. Forecasters say this Super El Niño could become the strongest on record, and Governor Newsom has already declared a statewide state of emergency to help communities get ready. Heavy rain, flooding, and power outages can arrive with little warning, and the best time to prepare is before the first big storm hits.
Join the City of South San Francisco for a free community workshop with the people who respond when emergencies happen. Representatives from San Mateo County and the City's Fire, Police, Public Works, and Parks and Recreation teams will walk you through how South City is preparing and share practical steps you can take to protect your home and family before, during, and after a major storm.
