Share your input on the San Bruno / South San Francisco Community-Based Transportation Plan!
The City/County Association of Governments (C/CAG) has developed the San Bruno / South San Francisco Community-Based Transportation Plan (CBTP) which focuses on areas in San Bruno and South San Francisco that are designated as Equity Priority Communities. The draft plan is available for public review until April 20, 2026 on C/CAG’s website here: ccag.ca.gov/community-based-transportation-plans/
Community-Based Transportation Plans focus on areas designated as Equity Priority Communities, or EPCs. The EPCs are determined by the Metropolitan Transportation Commission. These are census tracts that have a significant concentration of low-income residents and people of color and are prioritized for investment and planning to address historical disinvestment and ensure equitable access to transportation and housing.
C/CAG’s development of the San Bruno/South San Francisco CBTP has been guided by the perspectives of residents and community organizers in the San Bruno and South City communities. This diverse cross-section of community members, along with City and SamTrans staff, provided their ideas and experiences to help C/CAG learn what improvements will help the most – related to buses and paratransit, sidewalks, streets, policies, programs, and educational outreach. The draft CBTP captures this input as recommended projects and identifies the costs, funding needs, and strategies to implement the recommendations. Now the community’s input is needed to know if we got it right.
