105.5.35 Motor Fuel-Dispensing Facilities

Specific Responsibilities for Fuel-Dispensing Facilities:

• Emergency Shutoffs: You must maintain all emergency fuel shutoff switches in working order. All employees must be trained on their location and operation.
• Control Ignition Sources: Strictly enforce "No Smoking" and "Stop Engine" rules.
• Spill Control: Maintain an adequate supply of approved absorbent materials. All spills must be cleaned up immediately.
• Fire Extinguishers: Ensure all required portable fire extinguishers are in their designated locations, are clearly visible, and have a current annual service tag.
• Attendant Training: You are responsible for ensuring all attendants are trained in the proper use of dispensing equipment, the location of emergency controls, and the procedure for responding to a fire or spill.
