ABOUT
Founded in 1971, the South San Francisco Aquatic Club (SSFAC) is a year-round, competitive youth swim program committed to developing swimmers of all levels in a safe, structured, and positive environment. We are a non-profit organization, proudly co-sponsored by the City of South San Francisco, and primarily serve families in South San Francisco and the surrounding region.
SSFAC is officially recognized by USA Swimming and operates under the regional governance of Pacific Swimming. Our coaching staff are certified members of the American Swim Coaches Association (ASCA)—the most comprehensive training and certification program for youth sports coaches in the United States.
We train at Orange Pool and focus on building strong fundamentals in swim technique, promoting water safety, and preparing athletes for competitive success. Beyond physical development, we strive to instill the core values of confidence, discipline, integrity, and courage in all of our youth athletes.
At SSFAC, we believe in using the sport of swimming not only to prepare athletes for competition, but to help shape strong, resilient individuals both in and out of the water.
