Dear South San Francisco Community,

As we celebrate Thanksgiving, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for the people and partnerships that define our city. This year’s State of the City reminded me just how much we can achieve when we work together: from investing in safer streets and modernized infrastructure, to opening new community spaces, to strengthening emergency response with upgraded tools and technology, and hosting events that celebrate our various cultures. It’s a very long list of accomplishments from just this year alone, but all of this wouldn’t be possible if it weren’t for the many community organizations, schools, and local businesses who stand alongside us in service to our families.

I’m especially thankful for the dedicated City staff who keep South San Francisco moving. Delivering services that residents rely on doesn’t just require commitment, but passion to serve. Along with the spirit of our residents, our collaboration is what makes this community so special.
